Biographical Information[edit]
Ignatius Andrew "Joe" Muich seems to have had a very short professional baseball career. He was in 3 games with the Boston Braves at age 20 in 1924, and apparently had only 29 appearances total in the minors in 1924 and 1925. With the 1924 Dover Senators, another pitcher on the pitching staff was the 19-year-old Red Ruffing.
While Joe struggled in the last two of his major league appearances, he did well in his debut. Against the Brooklyn Robins, he pitched 4 2/3 innings in relief, giving up no runs. In the lineup for the Braves that day was 33-year-old Casey Stengel.
Joe, who was born in St. Louis, MO, stayed in the area after baseball and became a policeman.
