Joe Koukalik pitched well in his one game with the Brooklyn Superbas in 1904, but didn't stick. In 8 innings he gave up only one earned run. On the 1904 Superbas, Koukalik was the same age as Oscar Jones, who led the staff with 17 victories.
Koukalik is one of the few major leaguers born in Austria-Hungary.
