Biographical Information[edit]

Jimmy Toman was a minor-league player in the late 19th Century and early 20th Century. He played around the East Coast until about 1900 with various clubs in Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey. He then went west, playing in Los Angeles from 1902 to 1907. He returned to New York State for 1907, then to Iowa in 1908. He ended his career in Oklahoma.

Per the Los Angeles Herald (08 Dec. 1907), he was an umpire in that year, "an adjudicator of erroneous curves", and was involved in a salary dispute with the Pacific Coast League management over $150.
