Biographical Information[edit]
Jim Stone was a college coach for over 35 years.
Stone coached at Tilton-Northfield High School right after graduating college. He moved to Mascoma Valley Regional High School in 1963. He moved to Lowell Technological Institute in 1965 and was freshman basketball coach before being promoted to varsity coach in 1966-1967. He was also assistant coach to Rusty Yarnall and took over the baseball team in 1967, holding the job until the school merged with Lowell State College in 1975. He was then head coach of the resultant University of Massachusetts Lowell until 2003.
