Biographical Information[edit]

"Jim Shaw . . . made a splendid showing during the latter part of last season . . . He has a world of stuff, and, in addition, has mastered control of the ball. Last year he took part in many games in which his opponents were struck out." - Sporting Life of November 18, 1916
