Biographical Information[edit]
Cy Rheam, from Pittsburgh, PA, played several positions for the Pittsburgh team of the Federal League.
Like most ballplayers nicknamed "Cy", that was not his real name. However, unlike many of the other players nicknamed "Cy", he was not a pitcher in the majors.
He was at Indiana Normal School from 1911-14, while Mike Menosky was there in 1913. The SABR biography of Lefty George indicates that Rheam, along with others such as George, got his start with a team called Guy's Collegians, formed by a Pittsburgh sportswriter.
