Jim Scholten was a college coach for 28 years.
Scholten was 252-94 in 12 years as a high school coach, working at Newman Catholic High School and Nevada (IA) High School. From 1984-2011, he guided Morningside College, winning over 600 games. He set the school record for wins (42-18-1) in 2005 and was named the North Central Conference Coach of the Year in 2000. In 2004-2005, he was a coach for the Sioux City Explorers.
