"Infielder (sic) Riley, the Buffalo City League lad, signed by the Boston club, reported to Manager Lake last week. This will not be Riley's first season in league base ball, for he played in North Carolina a year ago, but had to give up because of a fever. Riley is six feet tall and weights 165 pounds." - Sporting Life, August 13, 1910
