James Edward Quick

Biographical Information[edit]

Jim Quick was a National League umpire for a few games in 1974 and continuously from 1976 to 1998. Quick began his career in the Northwest League in 1968. He then moved to the California League (1969), Texas League (1970), and Pacific Coast League (1971-1975). He fell just a few games short of working 3,000 games for his career and appeared in 9 postseason series, including the 1985 World Series and 1990 World Series. He also worked in three All-Star Games.
