Biographical Information[edit]
Jim Pransky has been a scout and a coach.
Pransky was head coach at St. Bonaventure University from 1984-1985 and was an assistant at George Washington University in 1986 then was head coach of Quincy University (1989-1991). He scouted for the Houston Astros (1991-1996), Oakland Athletics (1998-2005) and Tampa Bay Rays (2006- ). He was also hitting coach for the 1998 Southern Oregon Timberjacks. He signed Neal Cotts, Jim Heuser, Dan Johnson, John Rheinecker, Shane Komine and Jason Hart.
