Jim Morley was the founder of the Senior Professional Baseball Association and the owner of the St. Petersburg Pelicans. In the league's first season, he played in 2 games for the club, hitting .500 in 6 at bats. His team went on to win the league's first, and only, championship. In 1990, Morley again played for his St. Petersburg Pelicans and played in two games, going hitless in 4 at-bats before the league folded.
Morley had previously played for the 1979 Fresno Giants and hit .171/~.277/.220 in 28 games. He was error-free in 10 outfield games.
