Biographical Information[edit]
Jim Conway pitched three years in the majors and five other seasons in pro ball, going 19-19 in 41 games for the Kansas City Cowboys in his final season, 1889. While he won a total of 22 games in the bigs, from 1886-1889 he won at least 18 games every year in other leagues, with a max of 32 victories for the Topeka team in the Western League. Jim is the brother of Pete Conway, the first official baseball coach at the University of Michigan.
