Biographical Information[edit]
Jim Byrnes played 10 games with the Philadelphia A's in 1906. Hailing from San Francisco, he played most of his career with minor league teams based in California. With the 1905 Oakland Oaks, he hit under .200, but so did much of the team. He was a teammate of the 39-year old George Van Haltren, who hit .250. In 1914, Jim managed the Modesto Reds.
