Biographical Information[edit]

Jim Burt played in the minor leagues from 2004 to 2006. He was drafted twice, originally by the Toronto Blue Jays and then the New York Mets in the 19th round of the 2004 amateur draft (ahead of pitcher David Price).

He hit .274/.363/.435 with four home runs and 23 RBI for the Brooklyn Cyclones in 2004 and .255/.361/.396 with four home runs and 16 RBI for the Hagerstown Suns in 2005. With the independent Somerset Patriots in 2006, he hit .203/.275/.302 with four home runs and 32 RBI.

His father, Jim Burt, played in the National Football League.
