Biographical Information[edit]

Jiayi Fang pitched for the Chinese women's national team in the 2023 Women's Baseball Asian Cup. In her debut, she allowed four hits, two walks, a hit batsmen and seven runs (all earned) while retiring no one against Taiwan. She then gave up three runs without retiring a batter versus Japan. She did better in beating India and Reshma Shivaji Punekar, allowing three runs (two earned) in three innings after relieving Jie Zhang; Sixuan Liu closed it out. In her last appearance, she surrendered 3 runs in 1 1/3 IP against the Philippines to finish with a 1-0, 24.23 record. She tied Liu for the most appearances in the second and third rounds of the tournament. Only Nawra Salma Fatima and Punekar allowed more runs, though, and she had by far the highest ERA of anyone who won a game. [1]
