Biographical Information[edit]

Jesús Castillo was a catcher in the early days of the Mexican League, before statistical records are available. He was the backstop for Policía del Distrito Federal when they won the 1928 title, the 4th championship. He also won Mexican League titles with Obras Públicas de México (1931), Tigres de Comintra (1933), Agrario de México (1935 and 1936) for five pennants in nine seasons. He also played for the Mexican national team in the 1930 Central American Games. He hit .250/?/.375 with 3 runs in 4 games as the main catcher for the Silver Medalists. Fielding .931 at catcher, he led all backstops in the tournament with six assists. He also played for Mexico in the 1938 Central American and Caribbean Games,
