Biographical Information[edit]
Jesús Reyes pitched for the Venezuelan national team.
Reyes had a 12.46 ERA in three appearances in the 2011 Baseball World Cup, Venezuela's 3rd-highest (only Josmar Carreño and George Delgado were higher). He pitched a shutout inning against South Korea and allowed one unearned run in one inning against the champion Dutch national team but gave up six runs on five hits and four walks in 2 1/3 IP of relief against Australia as part of a 15-0, mercy rule loss. [1] In the 2013 Bolivarian Games, he did very well in his lone game, a start against Guatemala (7 K, 1 H, 2 BB, 1 R in 5 IP) in a winning effort. Venezuela got the Silver Medal. [2] He struggled, though, in the 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games (2/3 IP, 2 H, BB, 3 R, 2 ER). Only Carlos Mory had a worse ERA for Venezuela. [3]
