Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Jerry Dahlke was signed by the Chicago White Sox in 1948, then missed the 1952-1953 seasons due to military service during the Korean War. He led the 1955 Southern Association with 19 wins, then made it to the majors with the White Sox in 1956. He appeared in five games with the Sox, but his playing career was eventually cut short by an arm injury.
