Biographical Information[edit]

Jerry Brooks played nine games for the 1993 Los Angeles Dodgers under manager Tommy Lasorda and eight games for the 1996 Florida Marlins. He hit for considerable power, posting a career major league SLG of .714. His lifetime OPS+ is 189. Wikipedia (02-27-20) states that he is the only major leaguer to finish his career with exactly four hits which are a single, double, triple and home run. For that matter, he also had exactly one walk. Along with his major league career, he also played ten seasons in the minors, slugging 144 home runs, and two seasons in Japan, with 41 home runs. He played briefly in Mexico.

Jerry attended Clemson and was drafted from there the same year as Bert Heffernan. His time there also overlapped with that of Bill Spiers. As of 2018, he ran a car dealership. [1]
