Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Jerry Aubin was taken 21st overall in the 1978 amateur draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates. He began his professional career at 17 and played until 1983, missing 1980 and 1981. He never played above Single A.

He was a low-power, low-average, high-strikeout, decent-speed ballplayer, finishing with 13 home runs, a .233 batting average, 46 walks, a .311 on-base percentage, 148 strikeouts and 27 stolen bases in 476 at-bats. In 1978, he stole 16 bases for the GCL Pirates. He finished his career in the New York Yankees system, having been traded to New York with Tim Burke and fellow minor leaguers Bubba Holland and Jose Rivera for Lee Mazzilli on December 22, 1982.
