Biographical Information

Jen-Ming Yang pitched in the CPBL for 4 years.

Yang was drafted by the Sinon Bulls in the fourth round of the 2002 CPBL Draft, and he had a 6.75 ERA in 10 games in 2003. He pitched a shutout inning in the 2003 Taiwan Series Game 3, but the Brother Elephants beat the Bulls in 6 games. Yang then recorded a 5.35 ERA in 20 games in 2004, and he allowed 5 runs in 4 1/3 innings in the 2004 Taiwan Series Game 3. The Bulls beat the Uni-President Lions in 7 games, and Yang won his only Taiwan Series title. He improved to a 3.60 ERA in 21 games in 2005, and his ERA was 3.13 in 15 games in 2006. However, he was involved in a game-fixing scandal, and the league banned him for life.

Overall, Yang was 2-2 with a 5.36 ERA, struck out 79 and pitched 119 1/3 innings in 4 seasons in the CPBL.
