Jefferson Parish, LA

Jefferson Parish is the equivalent of a county in southern Louisiana, located west and south of New Orleans, LA and of Lake Pontchartrain and including a large area of swamp-like bayou at its southern end, as well as Jean Lafitte National Historical Park. The parish seat is Gretna, LA and it includes suburbs of New Orleans such as Kenner, LA and Metairie, LA.
