Biographical Information[edit]

Jeff Tezak played for two seasons in the minors.

Tezak hit .360 as a high school senior. He batted .317 as a freshman at Cal State Northridge. Transferring to Palomar College, he batted .386 with 15 steals in 16 tries. As a junior, he hit .335/.429/.482 at a third school, Nebraska. His senior season, he was just 4 for 21 with 2 doubles, a home run and 3 walks before season-ending knee surgery. After being redshirted, he put up a .315/.425/.410 line in 2009. The Chicago White Sox took him in the 24th round of the 2009 amateur draft.

In his pro debut, Tezak hit .280/.379/.305 with 37 runs in 56 games for the Great Falls Voyagers. He fielded .962 as their most-used second baseman. He split 2010 between the Voyagers (.318/.408/.400 in 40 G) and Kannapolis Intimidators (3 for 13, 5 BB). He fielded .960 at 2B between the two clubs. Overall, he had hit a solid .291/.392/.334 in two minor league seasons.

For 2011, Tezak signed with the Austrian Baseball League's Vienna Metrostars. He coached for the Austrian national team in the 2011 European Championship Qualifiers.
