Miet had a horrible turn in the 2001 Baseball World Cup, walking 7 and allowing 7 runs in one inning for a 63.00 ERA over two games; it was by far the highest ERA on a bad French staff. He pitched one game in the 2001 European Championship] and was sharper (1 H, 2 K, 0 R in 2 IP). He had a 8.10 ERA in 3 1/3 innings in the 2003 Baseball World Cup.
He was a member of the Rouen squad that played at the 2009 European Cup in Italy, going 1 for 7 at the plate.
Memories, good and bad[edit]
One of his worst memories was when he was playing in the international Juniors tournament in Pineulh, when he received a line drive to the head on the first day of the tourney. He was hospitalized for two days, and spent a week on the bench with migraines.
