Jean-Philippe Miet has played for the following clubs in France: Le Vigan Coyotes, Montpellier Barracudas (1995-2003), Paris Université Club (2006) and the Rouen Huskies (2009). He was retired in 2007-2008, focusing on his business career.

He was a student at the INSEP (a sports education institute) for the 1997-1998 school year. He also played for the Senior Mens' squad on the French National Team in the 1997 European Championship, going 1-0 with no earned runs allowed in five innings. Miet had a horrible turn in the 2001 Baseball World Cup, walking 7 and allowing 7 runs in one inning for a 63.00 ERA over two games; it was by far the highest ERA on a bad French staff. He pitched one game in the 2001 European Championship] and was sharper (1 H, 2 K, 0 R in 2 IP). He had a 8.10 ERA in 3 1/3 innings in the 2003 Baseball World Cup.

He was a member of the Rouen squad that played at the 2009 European Cup in Italy, going 1 for 7 at the plate.

Memories, good and bad[edit]

One of his worst memories was when he was playing in the international Juniors tournament in Pineulh, when he received a line drive to the head on the first day of the tourney. He was hospitalized for two days, and spent a week on the bench with migraines.
