Biographical Information[edit]

After eight seasons in the minor leagues, pitcher Jason Waddell made only three major league appearances in May and June of 2009, totaling less than two innings, before making a trip to the disabled list as the result of a "non-baseball related medical issue". He was released by the Chicago Cubs on August 5th and signed a minor league contract with the Detroit Tigers a week later, but never returned to the majors. His minor league career lasted until 2011, with his final two seasons being with the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs of the independent Atlantic League.
