Biographical Information[edit]
Jason McLeod pitched one season in the minors for the GCL Astros in 1991. He was very effective at 4-3, 1.93 in his nine outings. He allowed a 1.01 WHIP and fanned 39 in 51 1/3 IP. He was sixth in the Gulf Coast League in ERA.
McLeod began his front office career as an intern for the San Diego Padres in 1994. He was the assistant director of player development for the San Diego Padres from 1999 to 2001 and an area scout in 2002-2003. He was the scouting director for the Boston Red Sox from 2005 to 2009. He then moved back to the Padres as assistant GM. As a scout, he signed Hunter Jones and Paul McAnulty.
