Biographical Information[edit]
The son of Bill Holowaty and brother of Jared Holowaty, Jason Holowaty has been active in developing baseball internationally.
Holowaty played for Brown University. In 1998, he set the Western Australia Baseball League record for steals. He later played in the British leagues (winning a batting title and playing on four national champions), Australia (Melville Braves) and became director of MLB International's Game Development operations in Europe and Africa. In 2009, he played for the Cougars de Montigny in the Division Elite and Namur Angels of Belgium. He played for Britain in the 2009 Baseball World Cup, going 1 for 13 with two walks, a run and RBI and handling 17 chances error-free. He got his lone hit against Cuban national team hurler Freddy Asiel Alvarez.
In 2019, he was inducted into the British Baseball Hall of Fame; he had hit .423 in British play.
