Biographical Information[edit]
The son of Bill Holowaty and brother of Jason Holowaty, Jared Holowaty is a second-generation coach.
Jared helped Eastern Connecticut win the 2002 NCAA Division III title. He set school records for runs and at-bats in a career and was twice All-Conference. He was an assistant coach there under his father in 2003. In the 2003 World Port Tournament, Holowaty played and coached for Eastern Connecticut. He was graduate assistant and recruiting coordinator at the College of New Jersey in 2004. From 2005-2008, Holowaty was an assistant coach at the University of Maine; he was also recruiting coordinator in 2007-2008.
In 2009, Holowaty became head coach of Whitman College. After the 2012 season, Holowaty resigned and returned to Eastern Connecticut as an assistant coach. He later was an assistant coach at Montclair State University [1]. Holowaty served as interim coach at Montclair in 2014, then was named head coach for 2015. He remained there through 2019.
