Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Jason Dennis was selected by the Anaheim Angels in the fourteenth round of the 2001 amateur draft. The southpaw began in a blaze of glory, going 5-0 with a league-leading 2.05 ERA in the 2001 Pioneer League, pitching for the Provo Angels. He struck out 79 and walked 21 in 75 innings, allowing a .193 average and making the Pioneer League All-Star team as the top lefty pitcher. Moved to the bullpen in 2002, Jason was 2-0, 2.92 for the Cedar Rapids Kernels in 8 games and 2-3, 3.75 for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes in 28 outings. In 2003, he went to the Long Island Ducks (0-1, 4.15) and Pennsylvania Road Warriors (1-2, 6.06) of the Atlantic League.
