Biographical Information

Jason Carelse was on the South African national team in the 2022 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers. He hit 8th and played right field in their opener, versus Spain. He drew a walk from Ronald Medrano his first time up then was 0 for 2 before Dayle Feldtman pinch-hit. He was 0 for 2 against Germany before Keegan Swanepoel batted for him. He did not have South Africa's worst oh-fer in the qualifiers as Chris Beyers was 0 for 6.
