Biographical Information[edit]

Jason Bourgeois was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 2nd round of the 2000 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Randy Taylor and made his pro debut that summer. A childhood teammate of Michael Bourn and Carl Crawford, Jason saw big league time in eight seasons (317 games), with his longest and best look coming when he hit .294 with 31 stolen bases in 93 games for the 2011 Houston Astros.

Bourgeois became a coach for the Great Lakes Loons in 2019. He was scheduled to be a Rancho Cucamonga Quakes coach in 2020 before the season was cancelled due to COVID-19. The Dodgers promoted Bourgeois to Minor League Outfield & Baserunning Coordinator in 2021 and he stayed in that position through the 2023 season.

In 2024, he was named the first base coach of the Chicago White Sox with additional responsibilities as outfield coach. Bourgeois returned to this role with the White Sox in 2025.
