Jani Malovic
Jani Malovic was the right fielder and cleanup hitter for the Slovenian national team in their European Championship debut, at the 1995 European Championship. He got two of their three hits off Italy's Dante Carbini (Domen Rotar had the other) and scored their only run of the day. Either he or Rotar had their first home run; they both took Joeri Loykens of Belgium deep the same day. He hit .333/.320/.500 with six RBI in their seven games in the 1995 Euros. He paced the team in hits (8, 3 ahead of Rotar and Matjaz Dolinar), total bases (12, 3 ahead of Rotar), homers (1, tied with Rotar), doubles (1, a four-way tie) and RBI (double runner-up Kostja Prihoda's 3) as one of the bright spots in their initial Euros.
