Biographical Information[edit]

Jan de Deyne was on the first Belgian national team in an Amateur World Series. In the 1978 Amateur World Series, he struck out in all six of his at-bats. He had six chances error-free, backing up Robert van Lent at 2B. He also pitched three innings, allowing 7 hits, 2 walks and 9 runs (5 earned); three of his teammates had higher ERAs.
