Biographical Information[edit]
James Street was 29-8 as a pitcher in college, throwing a 1970 perfect game against Texas Tech and going to the College World Series three times. He was also a quarterback for Texas, leading them to an unbeaten season and a national championship in 1969. The Cleveland Indians took him in the 31st round of the 1970 amateur draft but he never played professionally. His son Huston Street made the majors while his son Juston Street played in the minors.
