Biographical Information

James Hattenstein pitched as a pro then became a college coach.

He had a 5.79 ERA for the 1994 Mobile BaySharks and a 9.50 ERA for the 1996 Grand Forks Varmints; he had no decisions in 27 career outings. He later was assistant coach at Bishop State Community College, University of Mobile, Mary G. Montgomery High School, LeFlore High School and Daphne High School and was head coach at Citronelle High School and LeFlore High. He became head coach of Bishop State for the 2018 season.
