Biographical Information[edit]
James Earl Jones was an American actor who won two Tony Awards and was a three-time Emmy Award winner.
He is best known for providing the voice of Darth Vader in the Star Wars films. In regards to baseball, Jones played Terence Mann in Field of Dreams and Mr. Mertle in The Sandlot, as well as the power-hitting catcher Leon Carter in The Bingo Long Traveling All-Stars & Motor Kings. He often appeared at ball games to recite "The Star Spangled Banner" and "Casey at the Bat".
