Biographical Information[edit]
Jalal Leach played 8 games in the major leagues with the San Francisco Giants in 2001. His minor league career stretched from 1990 to 2004. He also played 9 years of winter ball.
He was especially successful with the Fresno Grizzlies in 1998 and 2000. In 1998 in 35 games he hit .354 and slugged .654, while in 2000 in 51 games he hit .379 and slugged .692.
After retiring as a player, he ran a company called Baseball Mentoring Program in Sacramento, CA with his brother Jarman Leach who was a pitcher in the San Diego Padres organization (1994-1996). Jalal is also an Associate Scout for the Colorado Rockies.
