Biographical Information[edit]

Starting pitcher Jake Cose played in the Chicago White Sox minor league system from 2011 to 2013 and in independent ball from 2015 to 2016. He was taken by the White Sox in the 27th round of the 2011 amateur draft.

After a rough start to his professional career - he posted a 8.18 ERA in 2011 - Cose improved in 2012, posting a 4.18 ERA in 2012. 2013 was even better, as he went 11-8 with a 3.28 ERA in 27 starts between the Kannapolis Intimidators and Winston-Salem Dash. The hurler spent the first part of 2014 on the disabled list.
