Biographical Information[edit]
Jake Boss Jr. is a college coach.
Boss began his coaching career as an assistant at Lakeview High School in 1994, then was head coach of Webberville High School in 1995. From 1996-1997, he was an assistant at Iowa Central Community College with appearances in the NJCAA Baseball World Series both years. He was an also an associate scout for the Atlanta Braves in 1996-1997. He was assistant coach at Eastern Michigan University from 1997-2004, where he worked with Brian Bixler.
From 2005-2007, Boss was an assistant at the University of Michigan. He was head coach of Eastern Michigan in 2008, helping them to the Mid-American Conference title and being named Conference Coach of the Year.
In 2009, Boss became head coach of Michigan State University.
