Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Jaime Abad played from 1951 to 1958 and 1960. He played briefly in the Chicago Cubs organization in 1951, but spent most of his career in Mexico.

He had a few campaigns of note per records available. In 1955, he hit .322 with 11 home runs and a .503 slugging percentage in 80 games for Mexico City Azul, after hitting no home runs in 184 at-bats the year before. In 1956, Abad batted .322, but fell to no home runs in 261 at-bats for the Mexico City Tigers. In 7 games with Mexico City in 1956, he batted .313, and in 14 at-bats with the Mexico City Reds in 1960, he slashed .357/.471/.500 in one last hurrah. Overall, he hit .273/.336/.352 in 487 LMB games, with 241 runs and 161 RBI.
