Jackson Paz pitched for four seasons in the minor leagues, posting an amazing 18-2 career record. In 2000, he was with Chico Canonica in the Venezuelan Summer League (6-1, 2.03) and the GCL Braves (2-0, Sv, 1.29). Paz was 2-1 with a 3.58 ERA for the 2001 GCL Braves, allowing a .291 average. He missed 2002-2003.

Back in 2004, Paz split time between the New Jersey Cardinals (1-0, Sv, 1.07, 11 H in 25 IP) and the Peoria Chiefs (6-0, 5.32 in 26 G). He wound up his US career with the 2005 Swing of the Quad Cities (1-0, 2.45, 12 K in 7 1/3 IP).

Paz pitched for his native Venezuela in the 2007 Baseball World Cup. He lost a start to the Cuban national team, walking four and allowing six runs in one inning before being relieved by Beiker Graterol. He was 0-1 with a 19.29 ERA for the event, having the highest ERA on the Venezuelan staff (almost 10 points higher than Pablo Morales).
