Biographical Information

Jacksell Mairena has been on the Nicaraguan national team.

He hit .364/.417/.455 for Nicaragua in the 2014 U23 Baseball World Cup and was 2-for-5 with a walk, double, two runs and two RBI in the 2016 U23 Baseball World Cup. In the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games, he started at second for Nicaragua. In their opener against the Dominican national team, he hit 9th and flew out against Yelmison Peralta his first time up but later singled off José Alberto Molina. He hit .231/.355/.231 with three runs in six games, handling 22 chances error-free. His two HBP tied for second in the event, one behind Kevin Luciano. He tied Ozzie Martínez for 6th with 14 assists.
