Biographical Information[edit]

Third baseman Jackie Wright was in the Boston Red Sox system for three years from 1978 to 1980. At Elmira in 1978, he and Jonathan Armbrister were teammates. Wright reached Double A for 54 games in 1980, but he hit only .184 there. In 273 total games, he hit .247 with 2 homers.

Wright later became director of the baseball camp run by the Association of Former and Present Professional Baseball Players of The Bahamas. The camp's goal is to teach Bahamian children baseball fundamentals.
