Biographical Information[edit]

John Hobbs had a 3.18 ERA in four games for the Minnesota Twins at the end of the 1981 season.

Hobbs is (through 2008) one of only two major leaguers out of Lynchburg College.

From 1981 to 1983 he also pitched for the Orlando Twins, where he was a teammate of Tim Teufel. With the Twins he was a couple of years younger than teammate Mickey Hatcher.
