Biographical Information

First baseman Jack Del Rio was taken by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 22nd round of the 1981 amateur draft out of high school, but did not sign. He instead chose to pursue a career in football, becoming a Pro Bowl linebacker in a career that spanned 1985 to 1996. He then became a well-known coach.
