Biographical Information

Ivan Araujo has played the outfield in the Mexican League.

Araujo debuted in 2005 with the Vaqueros Laguna, scoring a run but not batting. In 2006, he hit .227/.414/.318 in 19 games as a backup. The next year, he became a starter for Laguna, batting .279/.374/.383. He hit .308/.363/.383 in 2008 and .295/.349/.415 in 2009. For 2010, the 26-year-old put up a .329/.361/.441 with 20 steals in 28 tries and had 11 assists in 96 games in left field. He tied for 4th in the LMB in steals, trailing former major leaguers Alexis Gomez, Henry Mateo and Chris Roberson. He made the Mexican national team for the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games.
