Biographical Information

Isbel Hernández has pitched for the Vegueros de Pinar del Río in the Cuban Serie Nacional. As a rookie in 2009-2010, he was 2-1 with two saves and a 5.66 ERA. He struggled (2-1, 9.20, .344 opponent average, WHIP over 2) in 2010-2011. In 2011-2012, the right-hander was 2-0 with a 3.57 ERA in 31 games for the Vegueros, tying for third in the league with 11 intentional walks. He went 4-2 with four saves and a 4.02 ERA in 2012-2013, placing 10th in saves and tying Alexander Quintero and Diosdani Castillo for the most games pitched (24).
