Indian Island, ME

Indian Island is an island in the Penobscot River in central Maine. It is the site of the Penobscot Indian Reserve. The towns of Milford, ME and Old Town, ME lie on the east bank of the river across the island, which is 15 miles north of Bangor, ME. Louis Sockalexis was born here.
