Biographical Information

Il-mok Cha debuted in the Korea Baseball Organization with the 2003 KIA Tigers, going 0 for 4. In 2005, he was 2 for 8 with a walk. He was 7 for 27 with two walks in 2006. By 2007, the 26-year-old was seeing some increased playing time, going 4 for 37 with 10 walks and a double. He got a big boost in 2008 when he was a semi-regular and hit .246/~.325/.318 in 106 games. Backing up Sang-hoon Kim at catcher in 2009, he batted .225/.322/.353 in 102 AB and 57 games.
