Biographical Information[edit]
Hosea Siner played 10 games in the majors with the 1909 Boston Doves. The Washington Times (06/26/09) reported that Boston paid $1,000 to acquire him.
His minor league career was mostly at the lower or mid- levels of the minors. When elevated to the majors in July 1909, he was playing with the Monmouth Browns.
He apparently was mostly a second baseman in the minors but played largely third base in the majors.
Both his first name and his last name are unique in major league history.
